May, 2017 – Bloomberg.Com has a feature story exploring how changes in China are affecting, and will continue to affect, the Global Food Industry. Over the past fifty years or so the country has seen enormous economic and social changes that includes a population that has an increased appetite for protein, a burgeoning population and a serious pollution problem.

In order for China to have enough affordable food for its population in the second half of this century, it will need to make sure the world grows food for 9 billion people. the country is reacting by acquiring land and companies but the article suggests that technology will be the real solution.  Read at:
